Laser Energy Trans
Laser Energy Trans sends UE as a laser beam to another machine. No pipes needed, but low throughput and distance loss—best for cross-base links, not main trunks.
Remote power transmission.
After placement, right-click to activate the laser navigation,
and then right-click on other power buildings to link them.
The farther the transmission distance, the greater the energy loss.
The maximum loss is 100%.— In-game tooltip

Pairing
Section titled “Pairing”- Default: no target
- Right-click transceiver → navigation mode, laser guide visible
- Right-click target machine → linked
- Right-click transceiver again → cancel or retarget
The paired target and its world position are saved across reloads.
Distance Loss
Section titled “Distance Loss”Transfer scales with distance:
| Distance | Factor | Effective delivery |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | 1.00 | 120 UE/s |
| ~19 tiles | 0.75 | 90 UE/s |
| ~38 tiles | 0.50 | 60 UE/s |
| ~56 tiles | 0.25 | 30 UE/s |
| ~75 tiles+ | 0.00 | No transfer |
The transceiver still spends the base transfer rate; the lost portion is deducted even when delivery is reduced. Long links waste power on the sender side.
Laser Visual
Section titled “Laser Visual”Beam alpha scales with distance factor—faint beam = heavy loss.
- Cross-base or surface ↔ cave links; not a main bus (120 UE/s cap)
- Chain relays for long spans; each hop loses efficiency; beyond ~75 tiles total use Energy Pipeline
- Pipe-fed transceiver acts as an edge radiator
