Energy Pipeline

Energy Pipeline links generators, consumers, and batteries. Each tile is 1×1 and stackable. Shape follows the connections around it.

Used for transmitting electrical energy
Right-click to quickly dismantle and retrieve the pipeline at the cursor position
Connects to generators and other power sources to transfer energy to batteries or electrical devices

Each segment checks up, down, left, right. The neighbor on that side decides the flow:

NeighborBehavior
NoneThat side shows as an end
GeneratorOne-way pull from the generator (up to 600 UE/s per side)
PipeBalance by fill rate (larger gap moves faster, cap 600 UE/s)
Battery or machineOne-way or two-way, depending on the other tile

The whole net keeps fill rates even. There is no distance falloff. A stable layout lets a generator fill a distant machine.

  • One-way consumers (mining machines, collectors, laser transmitters, charging stations): pipe → device, up to 600 UE/s
  • Two-way buffer (such as a Thermal Battery): if the battery fill rate is 5% above the adjacent pipe, it discharges; otherwise it charges

If the net has any generator or any charged battery, the powered flag travels along the pipes. Machines use that flag to decide whether to run.

  • Right-click an empty pipe while holding pipe: pick that tile up (remaining UE stays on the item)
  • Hold ALT to multiply pickup range ×100, useful for a whole run

Connection count picks the sprite: end (0–1), straight, corner, T, or cross. No manual rotate.
