Item Filter Board
The Item Filter Board is a handheld item, not a placed machine. It stores item type IDs as a whitelist you apply to Collector or Item Pipeline endpoints.
Use to open the filter panel
Right-click a compatible machine to apply
Left-click a chest to copy its contents as filter rules— In-game tooltip

Set Whitelist
Section titled “Set Whitelist”- Use board (left or right-click air): open filter UI; drag items from inventory to add types (items are not consumed)
- Right-click entry in UI: remove
- Left-click chest: copy all item types currently in that chest
Apply to Machines
Section titled “Apply to Machines”While holding the board:
- Right-click Collector: copy whitelist to the Collector
- Right-click Item Pipeline Output/Input endpoint: copy whitelist to that endpoint
Applied lists become a machine copy—editing the board later does not update machines. Right-click again to overwrite.
Empty List = Allow All
Section titled “Empty List = Allow All”No entries means no filter—the target accepts everything.
- “Ores only” on Collectors near miners—skip hearts, torches, trash
- Multiple pipelines + boards for sort lines: one Output per category
- Copy from a sorted chest to clone its rules instantly
