Tesla Electromagnetic Tower

The Tesla Electromagnetic Tower has two item forms: Guard and Attack. Swap freely at workbench, after placing (right-click), or via wire signal.

Requires electrical energy to operate
Right-click after placing on the ground to switch between attack mode and guard mode
In attack mode, it emits electric arcs to nearby enemies
In guard mode, it inflicts an electrified debuff on all enemies within range; if a player is within range
and holding a chargeable item, the electromagnetic tower will emit electric arcs to remotely charge the player

Guard ↔ Attack swap 1:1 at bench with no extra cost.

Effect radius ramps from 0 to ~50 tiles after the tower starts.

  • Continuously applies Electrified for ~0.5 s on enemies in radius
  • About every 0.67 s: nearest player within ~50 tiles holding a chargeable item that is not full gets an arc; hit adds +0.1 charge
  • Costs ~30 UE/s while UE > 2

Good for bases and AFK spots—harassment plus weapon topping.

About every 1 s, targets the nearest enemy:

  • Search radius ~44 tiles
  • 60 UE per shot
  • Arc: 32 damage, knockback 2, pierce 3, ~0.5 s local invulnerability on the target

Low DPS but steady pressure in choke points and event farms.

  1. Workbench 1:1 recipe swap
  2. Right-click placed tower
  3. Wire signal on the tile

No UE cost; stored UE kept.

Pauses when the player is beyond ~250 tiles; resumes on return.

  • Guard + chargeable weapons (Laser Pistol, Electric Mini Rocket) for long sessions
  • Attack + Thermal Battery for burst defense
  • Wire several towers to flip Attack together on invasions
