Tile Protocols
Tile protocols act on solid tiles and some hackable machines. The in-game scan label is Tile Target. This shelf has 8 protocols: 4 factory, 4 written from chips.
The factory four are Magnetic Pull, Tile Detonation, Phasing Protocol, and Machine Short Circuit. The chips are sold on TBUG’s Tile shelf. Phasing Protocol will not take a tile that is already intangible, and it will not take Lihzahrd Brick. Machine Overclock feeds an industrial machine that holds charge, then burns that charge empty when the timer ends.
| Protocol | Category | RAM | Upload | Duration | Source | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Magnetic Pull | Tile Manip | 2 | 1 s | 5 s | Factory | Generates a magnetic field, pulling nearby dropped items towards you. |
| Tile Detonation | Tile Manip | 3 | about 1.3 s | Instant | Factory | Compromises structural integrity, triggering a localized explosion. |
| Phasing Protocol | Tile Manip | 4 | about 1.7 s | 8 s | Factory | Alters the physical properties of a tile, making it intangible for a duration. |
| Machine Short Circuit | Tile Manip | 3 | about 1.3 s | Instant | Factory | Drains the target machine’s energy, releasing electric arcs that damage nearby entities. |
| Vein Resonance | Covert | 4 | about 1.7 s | 12 s | Vein Resonance Chip | Reveals matching ore through walls; mining it drops double but calls wardens |
| Stress Inversion | Tile Manip | 5 | about 2.2 s | 10 s | Stress Inversion Chip | Makes this terrain unbreakable for ten seconds; enemies slamming into it take damage |
| Tile Conscription | Tile Manip | 5 | about 2.3 s | 10 s | Tile Conscription Chip | Tears nearby blocks into eight armor plates orbiting you, launched when time is up |
| Machine Overclock | Tile Manip | 4 | about 1.7 s | 10 s | Machine Overclock Chip | Feeds the machine a fixed charge allowance for ten seconds, then burns it to nothing. |
