PvP Hacks

A PvP hack writes a protocol onto another player. You start the upload on your side, and it takes effect on theirs. You cannot target yourself. To change your own implants or held charge, use a Self Rig protocol.

This shelf has 14 protocols. 4 ship with Hack Time. 10 need chips. The chips are sold on TBUG’s PvP shelf. You still enter from Hack Time. The scan label is Player Target.

Both sides must have vanilla PvP hostility on. Players on the same non-zero team cannot lock each other. Range is about 150 tiles, shorter than ordinary hacks, so a lock across the screen has no counter window.

A player cannot be selected for about 5 seconds after they respawn. After any protocol lands on a player, you cannot start another upload on that same player for about 10 seconds. A defender can carry at most 3 effects at once, and at most 2 of those from the same attacker.

No protocol fully steals input, forces movement, or hard-stuns. Item use can slow by at most 35%, and a single effect lasts at most 6 seconds. A single RAM burn takes at most 4 RAM. A life protocol’s full damage on one landing is at most 120.

The defender can peel one hostile protocol with the factory protocol Force Uninstall. After a peel, they cannot peel again for about 30 seconds.
