Overview

Abyssrend is the melee spear of the abyss set. Left click cycles four beats: a thrust, a side cut, a reverse cut, then a heavy thrust. Each strike tears off a homing ocean undercurrent. Right click stirs an undertow that drags foes onto the pincer, slams them into the nearby ground, and detonates a cavitation burst.

Foes caught by the slam or the burst sink into abyssal pressure and slow down a lot.

Combat Behavior

Left click cycles four beats: a thrust, a side cut, a reverse cut, then a heavy thrust. Each beat deals about 105%, 92%, 96%, then 138% of that swing’s damage. The first and fourth beats are thrusts; the middle two are side cuts; the fourth hits hardest.

The next beat cannot start while the previous holdout is still on the field. A right-click clamp also blocks left-click swings while it lasts. If you stop attacking for about 1.5 seconds, the combo returns to the first beat.

Left-click swings deal about 45% damage to worm bodies.

When you start a right-click clamp, cooldown is about 4 seconds if a draggable foe is already in the undertow zone; otherwise about 1.5 seconds.

Each strike’s ocean undercurrent deals about 55% of that swing’s damage. A right-click clamp hit deals about 160% of that attack’s damage.
