Overview
Section titled “Overview”Commander’s Staff is a Death Mode drop from Skeletron Prime (25% chance). Each cast fires a thermal disintegration beam along the staff with high per-shot damage but a very slow fire rate.

Combat Behavior
Section titled “Combat Behavior”- Each cast costs 20 mana and takes about 1 s
- Fires 1 beam that extends along the staff to the first solid block, up to about 125 tiles
- The beam sweeps as you turn the staff and deals line damage to every enemy along it
- Hits spawn radial flame particles; the red gradient trail fades after about 1 s
- Cuts grass, vines, and other soft blocks (good for clearing foliage, but it is not a pickaxe)
