Overview

Dark Frost Solstice is the final snowball cannon, crafted from Universal Frost and Kingsbane. Each shot fires hail and polar flames; after about 20 shots at max fire rate, the next shot triggers an overdrive ice-pillar burst at the cursor.

Combat Behavior

Normal Fire

Each shot fires two chains:

• Hail chain (3 snowballs): spread built in. About half the time a single pellet deals half damage. At high fire rate, pellets may grow larger, gain extra pierce, or extra updates
• Polar flame chain (3 homing ice crystals): after about 0.5 s, seek enemies within about 38 tiles. Hits apply 3 s Frostburn and 0.5 s Frozen. Bounce off walls and drop ice spikes

Continuous fire speeds up. After about 20 shots at max rate, enter about 1 s of charge animation.

Overdrive Surge

The first shot after charging summons an ice-pillar burst at the cursor:

• Many ice bursts and antler ice spikes (about 40 center, about 10 on each side)
• If solid ground sits below the cursor, spikes gain about +1500 bonus damage
• Screen shake and charge sound

After one burst shot, return to normal fire. You must build another 20 max-rate shots to trigger again.

Tips

While held, an ice-god back accessory floats behind the player. Visual only; no stat effect.
