Proverb
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Proverb is a story-driven Brimstone accessory. While equipped, a Brimstone rune floats behind the player. You become immune to On Fire, Hellfire, and Withered Curse, and every hit you deal applies 5 seconds of Withered Curse—melee, ranged, magic, summon, rogue, or projectile hits all count.

Effects
Section titled “Effects”- Passive immunity: On Fire, Hellfire, Withered Curse
- On hit: applies 5 seconds of Withered Curse
- Exclusive: ×2 damage vs Supreme Calamitas
- Risk: while worn, Supreme Calamitas attacks have a 1/3 chance to deal ×10 lethal damage (SCal body or her projectiles)
- Visual: Brimstone rune particles behind the player (hideable in equipment UI)
Hidden Story
Section titled “Hidden Story”“If you are reading this, then I am likely already gone. Throughout my long years, this ring was the only thing that felt truly cold. But somewhere along the way, it absorbed a mortal’s warmth… and became… too hot to let go. I have returned to the Brimstone, reduced to the ashes of an era. I should have departed with nothing, yet I found myself greedy for this singular warmth, wishing to preserve it. Wear it. And when you finally raise your blade against the gods… Know that even if the world freezes over, I will still be burning at your fingertips.”
After certain Supreme Calamitas story beats, tooltip colors shift from dark red to warm orange, the “×2 vs SCal” line is replaced with “Thank you”, and the tone softens.
