Overview
Section titled “Overview”Beneath the Sand is a pre-Hardmode mage weapon. Each cast hurls 2 sand surges in a small fan that arc downward under gravity. When a surge hits the ground, a vertical sand spike erupts at the impact point and launches any enemy it touches skyward.

Combat Behavior
Section titled “Combat Behavior”- Each cast costs 6 mana, use time about 0.37 s
- Fires 2 sand surges with a slight spread
- Surges fall as they travel; a glancing wall hit bounces them slightly, then they keep dropping
- On hitting the ground a spike erupts: about 0.13 s to break the surface, lingers about 0.3 s, then fades
- The spike is about 7 tiles tall with a narrow vertical hitbox and can hit the same target again every 0.23 s
- Struck enemies are launched upward (subject to knockback resistance)
