Overview
Section titled “Overview”Unsung Hero is a Hardmode vanity accessory sold by the Rogue NPC. While it is equipped, walking lays a black-and-white checkerboard trail on the ground behind the player. It grants no stats and does not change stealth or stealth strikes.

What if you never return?

Effects
Section titled “Effects”The trail works from either the functional accessory slot or the vanity slot. The squares stay on the ground along the path walked, then fade after about 2.5 seconds. A teleport or a single movement that is too far cuts the old trail, and a new trail starts from the new position. After the player dies, no new squares are laid.
If the accessory sits in the functional slot and its appearance is hidden, the trail does not appear. In the vanity slot it always shows.
