Mechanics
Each shot while cooldown is ready (about 10 seconds base, down to about 5 seconds with domain layers) grows one Skeletron arm from your side if below the cap of 2 plus domain layers divided by 3 (about 2 to 5 arms). At cap, cooldown still ticks but no new arm spawns.
Arms seek enemies within about 50 tiles. Beyond about 25 tiles they charge and throw 5 to 8 bones in a fan. Up close they swipe, slam, or sweep; only the melee segment deals direct damage. When you take damage, the newest arm shatters. Arms adjust attack direction with your facing.
Tips
Works best at mid range with some standing room; use thrown bones to finish distant targets. Arms are capped and lost on hit, so avoid face-tanking in melee
