Mechanics
While you keep firing, every about 5 to 2 shots (fewer at higher domain tier) with cooldown ready, a full row of tropical barracuda spawns from a random screen edge and crosses the screen. Cooldown is about 0.25 seconds. Row size is about 3 plus domain layers divided by 2.
Barracuda travel in a straight line at high speed and pierce 9 times. They vanish after about 5 seconds or when they leave the screen.
About every 0.17 seconds in flight they slightly steer toward the nearest enemy within about 25 tiles. They ignore terrain. Damage rises with domain layers.
Tips
High fire-rate weapons trigger schools more often. Pierce lands more hits when enemies stay on screen. Open ground works better than tight caves
