Overview
When equipped, blocks one fatal hit and transfers the damage to enemies. With a domain active, damage is split across all enemies inside it.
Research note
A useful specimen. It gives me... interesting ideas for new experiments.
Mechanics
While equipped, a hit that would kill you is blocked. You heal for three times the damage taken, the same amount is dealt to enemies, and you gain about 0.5 seconds of invulnerability plus about 1 second of extra immunity.
Without an ocean domain active, damage transfers to one random enemy within about 50 tiles. With a domain active, every attackable enemy inside takes the full transferred amount; if none are inside, it falls back to one random nearby enemy.
After triggering, the skill enters a long cooldown. Cooldown pauses while Halibut is not held. At domain layer 10 or higher with the domain active, it can trigger without limit and no longer enters cooldown.
Tips
Equip it as a safety net; an active domain spreads the transfer across groups. The brief invulnerability after a trigger can absorb one follow-up hit, but do not rely on it every wave.
