Higekiri is a nakago inscription. Once the target’s main life drops below 35%, hits from Onikiri itself start dealing bonus damage. The lower the remaining life, the higher the bonus. Worms use the merged body’s life, not the segment that was cut.
Just under 35% life, the bonus is almost nothing. At 0% life it caps at +60% on regular foes and +45% on bosses. Between those points it scales linearly with how much life is already gone.
Killing the target in that same action refunds 8 stance, once. Combo beats, Zanshin, Annihilating Flash, Finale Slash, and dash ink brands all take this bonus. Secondary cleaves such as Guilt echoes and lion-jaw waves do not.
Weapon damage is ×0.98. Combo, Zanshin, the big arts, ink brands, and inscription extras all start from a slightly lower base. While the target is still above 35%, the only change is that 2% penalty.
The execute bonus multiplies with other conditionals such as horimono Planted Step, then the whole product is capped at 1.60. Early in the 35% line, Planted Step can still show. Deep in the line, extra conditionals get eaten by that cap.
Comes with the blade and can be engraved immediately. Mayo also hands a rubbing after the Eye of Cthulhu. The extra copy does not change ownership. The codex still lists it as owned from the start.
