Consecutive hits build calibration. At 10 stacks, a judgment ray fires down the whole line and always crits, for about 5x the source beam damage. A main beam that expires without landing a hit counts as a miss and resets calibration.
Build tips
Pair with Heavy Barrel or Brace Stock for steady fire so hits chain and fill calibration; a miss throws it away
