Overview
Sustained fire builds a swirling storm field around you that dissipates when you stop shooting
Mechanics
+10% fire rate, +20% mana.
While SHPC is held, a ring-shaped storm field unfolds around you. About 3.5 seconds of sustained fire fills the field. After you stop shooting, it waits about 0.75 seconds, then dissipates over about 2.5 seconds. The field's radius grows with intensity from about 11 tiles to about 21 tiles. Hostile projectiles inside are blown off course and curve around you; their speed is unchanged.
Once intensity reaches about 25%, a lightning gauge begins to fill; at full intensity it fills in about 2.3 seconds. When the gauge is full, a bolt strikes the nearest enemy in the field that has line of sight, for about 220% of weapon damage. With no valid target, the gauge holds about 80% and waits. Below about 25% intensity the gauge drains; when the field is gone it clears. Each bolt hits a given enemy once, at most 5 targets, with later hits dealing less.
Build tips
You need sustained fire to keep the field up; it fades after you stop. Deflection matters more against dense enemy fire, and lightning needs a target you can see inside the field.
