Mining Machine

The Mining Machine does not break blocks. It rolls an ore table and drops the result. Every tile below the machine must hold a block.

Drilling minerals by consuming electrical energy
It needs to be placed in an appropriate location to work properly
Special minerals can be extracted in special environments

If the floor check passes and it has power, it keeps digging: 5 UE about every 0.35 s, about 14 UE/s. The spend does not depend on a drop. About one in ten digs drops ore, so about every 3.3 s on average.

On place it scans 3 wide × 6 deep under the bottom. Any empty tile stops it. About every 3 s it prints:

It needs to be placed on a hard surface in order to carry out mining operations.

A block in every tile is enough. Platforms count. Air, liquid-only, or wall-only tiles do not. The Underworld and asteroid mines work if the pad is solid.

There is no UI. Left-click to place. Right-click with an item does nothing in the current version. It runs once it has UE.

A dig every ~0.35 s, about 10% chance to roll the basic table. Biome is the tile directly under the machine.

Weights shift a little by table tier. The basic miner only drops the rows above. Meteorite, Hellstone, Hardmode ores, and Chlorophyte need Mining Machine Mk2.

Drops spawn under the machine. Use a Collector, or pick them up yourself.
