Overview
While firing, summons ground scorpion sentries that crawl and launch sand whirlwinds at enemies.
Research note
Its entire body is filled with sand.
Mechanics
While firing and below the sentry cap, a scorpion sentry is summoned and cooldown starts (about 15 seconds base, shortened by domain layers; cap is 1 plus domain layers divided by 10, so 1 to 2 sentries).
Sentries surface on solid ground about 5 to 12 tiles in front of you, or at your feet if no suitable ground exists. They live about 5 plus domain layers divided by 2 seconds, deal no contact damage, crawl horizontally toward enemies within about 50 tiles, and fire friendly sandnados at intervals (about 2 seconds base, shortened by domain layers) with 1 plus domain layers divided by 5 projectiles and leading on moving targets.
At cap, firing only shoots normal bullets and does not summon more sentries.
Tips
Needs solid ground; open platform fights are most reliable. Summon sentries at fight start or phase changes, then rely on your main weapon once at cap.
