Ikiai fires on beat five of a full combo. After five beats, a traveling crescent leaves the middle of the arc toward the aim. The convex face leads, and it pierces. Each body takes the hit once. After three bodies it vanishes. Flight lasts about 0.27 seconds. It starts fast, then slows.
The wave deals 55% of a blade hit. It does not return vigor or add stance. A missed beat five still throws it, and the wave seeks on its own. This is not a charged release. Finish the five beats and beat five throws it.
Swing interval is ×1.04 on every beat, not only beat five. A flash step mid-chain cancels the wave for that cycle. Visuals and hitbox are about 1.85 times the blade’s size.
The nakago holds one inscription. Shishi-no-ko, Rai-kiri, and Nue-kiri cannot share the seat. Kagami-hi copies the blade, not this wave. Shio-hi’s tide window only rewards valid hits, not the wave.
