Origin

Legend tells this blade once rested by the lord's pillow, roaring like a lion in the dead of night and shaking the estate. Astounded by its power, the master inlaid its name in gold onto the tang, renaming it Shishi-no-ko

Shishi-no-ko is a gold-inlay nakago. Finish all five beats without a flash step or a big art cutting the chain, and beat five adds a jaw: two crossing blade waves. Each wave is 22% of a blade hit, about 44% together. The waves do not return vigor or add stance.

Beats must stay in order. Counting starts on beat one and continues only if the next beat matches. A flash-step cancel or a Zanshin interrupt clears the chain. The next swing starts from beat one. The jaw only fires on beat five of a full combo. A missed beat five still throws the waves.

Swing interval is ×1.02. The five base gaps are about 0.17 / 0.17 / 0.22 / 0.25 / 0.40 seconds, then weapon speed and this 2% apply. Beat five is already the slowest. The nakago holds one inscription. Ikiai, Rai-kiri, and Nue-kiri also sit on beat five and cannot share the seat. Horimono Kurikara also burns dragon fire on beat five. That is a different seat and can stack on the same beat. Hi does not change the jaw.

Comes with the blade and can be engraved immediately. Mayo also hands a rubbing after Moon Lord. The codex still lists it as owned from the start.
