Power
"Paper-Effigy": Kamui Flash Step passing through an enemy leaves an effigy lasting 7s at the landing point (up to 2 effigies simultaneously) Attacking the effigy deals 80% of weapon base damage, transmitting the full damage directly to the true body Inflicts a 1.5s wounded state on the true body, during which it takes 12% increased damage from Onikiri
Burden
While paper effigies exist on the field, Kamui Flash Step vigor cost is increased by 12%
Origin
A master paper-mounter cuts with divine precision, separating form from shadow in one stroke. This groove learns the art of peeling form, shearing the enemy's shadow into the Omote world to cut paper as flesh
A Kamui Flash Step that passes through a foe imprints a sheet. Execution dashes count. The paper hangs on that foe’s body, not at the dash stop. The rubbing’s power text says “where you land,” which is easy to read as the endpoint.
The cutout does not attack. Worms resolve to the main body. One body never wears two sheets. A sheet lasts about 7 seconds. At most two stand at once. A third removes the oldest. If that body already has an uncut sheet, another pierce does not add a second.
The first ~0.23 seconds after imprint cannot be cut, so the same dash does not trim its own paper. After that, only Onikiri’s own blade counts: combo, Zanshin, Annihilating Flash, Finale. A miss recovery or another weapon does nothing. Cutting the paper deals 80% of a blade hit to the body, using weapon damage from the moment the sheet was hung. It also opens a wound for about 1.5 seconds. While that wound is up, Onikiri hits on that foe deal 12% more. The wound lives on the foe: swapping Kami-hi off, even sheathing, does not clear it.
While any paper is still on the field, including a sheet mid-tear, a normal dash costs ×1.12. The extra 12% drops when the paper is gone.
