11 / 36

Karikiri

Seat: Nakago

Source

After the matching boss, Himura Mayo appears again and hands over a rubbing. Boss: Calamitas Clone. Himura Mayo

The four blocks below are the rubbing text.

Rubbing

Flash Step leaves a decoy nullifying one hit completely; damage taken increased while decoy stands or after it breaks

Power

"False Body": starting a Kamui Flash Step leaves a static decoy lasting 1.5s in place While the decoy exists, taking damage from any enemy or projectile is completely nullified by the decoy (4-second cooldown)

Burden

While the decoy stands, damage taken and dash vigor cost are both increased by 12% For 1s after the decoy is shattered, damage taken is increased by 18% (natural expiration incurs no penalty)

Origin

A student copied his master's footwork to perfection, yet the master only sighed that it was too alike to be real. This inscription becomes a phantom form, taking a blow in place of the true body

Karikiri leaves a frozen decoy at the dash start. It stands for 1.5 seconds. If an enemy or a hostile projectile hits during that time, the decoy fully blocks the blow for the real body, then shatters. Only hostile sources count. Dismember backlash does not. Only one decoy exists at a time. A new one clears the old one first.

The next decoy waits 4 seconds from this dash start, not from the block. The rubbing says “wait 4 seconds after a block.” The timer actually starts at the dash. If the decoy expires on its own, that is not a shatter, and the following 1-second window does not open.

While a decoy stands: incoming damage is +12%, and dash cost is ×1.12. For 1 second after a shatter: incoming damage is +18%. Those two windows do not overlap. At the shatter the decoy is already gone. While a decoy stands, Fudo and Shibori guards will not stack with that dodge on the same hit.

Tomokiri and Karikiri both claim the dash start, so they cannot share the nakago. Kami-hi, Yoen, and Kaze-hi dash costs multiply with the decoy’s 1.12.
