Rubbing
Blade hits pin three silk anchors to close a web dealing damage and binding foes; natural recovery slowed while web is woven
Power
"Ink Silk": direct blade hits pin an ink silk anchor lasting 4s (the same enemy cannot be pinned again within 0.4s, adjacent anchors require roughly 6 tiles spacing) Pinning 3 anchors connects a triangular ink web that snaps toward the center, dealing 90% of weapon base damage to all trapped enemies and immobilizing them for 1s After closing the web, 1.5s cooldown is required before pinning anchors again
Burden
While unclosed silk anchors remain on the field, natural vigor recovery speed is reduced by 25%
Origin
Minamoto no Raiko lay bedridden with illness when a tsuchigumo disguised as a monk crept in to bind him in silk. Raiko drew his blade, severed the threads, and tracked the blood to eradicate its nest, renaming the blade Kumokiri
Kumo-kiri plants silk anchors with blade hits. Each point lasts 4 seconds. Combo, Zanshin, Annihilating Flash, and Finale all plant. Dash ink brands also plant. The same body will not take a second anchor within 0.4 seconds. Two anchors must sit at least about 6 tiles apart. A closer hit plants nothing useful.
Three anchors close a triangle net: it hangs slack for about 0.13 seconds, then tightens toward the center for about 0.2 seconds and cuts everything inside. Damage is 90% of a blade hit, and the cut binds for 1 second. After a close, weaving is locked for 1.5 seconds. The close uses the whole face of the net, not the three edges. Each body takes the cut once. Anchors that expire fade without a sound.
While at least one anchor is still up, natural regen is ×0.75. Closing the net or losing every anchor clears that penalty at once. Anchors planted too close, or always on the same body, never weave a net, but regen still uses 0.75.
Todo-hi’s hit bind and this 1-second net bind can overlap. They are different seats. Tsuzuri-hi links ink brands, not silk anchors. Regen multipliers stack with Chi-hi and Kan-hi. With an anchor up, Chi-hi’s idle regen is even slower.
Blade-karma: cut 30 spider-like foes while holding Onikiri. That includes wall creepers, black recluses, jungle creepers, blood crawlers, sand scorpions, and the desert basilisk. Ownership comes after the count.
