The four blocks below are the rubbing text.

Rubbing

Stepping back banks force for massive melee damage, slows nearby foes when idle; rapid point-blank spam causes brief blur

Power

"Hollow Roar": remaining outside 16 tiles of enemies for 1.5s stores force Your first hit within 16 tiles after storing force deals +25% damage (hits landed further away do not consume this effect) When no enemies are near or no hits are landed for 1.5s, slows enemies within 20 tiles for 0.4s every 1.5s

Burden

Landing 4 point-blank hits within 0.6s causes 0.4s of blurred focus, reducing point-blank damage by 5% during the blur

Origin

A blade tester bellowed into a desolate gorge, met with utter silence. In the empty expanse, that roaring vitality coiled and stored itself within the steel

Kyoko treats distance as a resource. If no foe sits within about 16 tiles for 1.5 seconds, the blade stores one hit. The next cut inside that 16-tile range deals +25%. A hit farther out does not spend it.

The blade hums when it is idle. Two cases count as idle: no foes nearby, or 1.5 seconds without a hit from Onikiri itself. A flash-step pierce is not a fight and does not break idle. While idle, every 1.5 seconds slows foes within about 20 tiles for 0.4 seconds. The pressure deals no damage.

Land four counted actions at close range within about 0.6 seconds and focus drops for 0.4 seconds. During that drop, close-range damage is −5%. One action counts once. There is no tooltip multiplier and no interval multiplier. The +25% and the −5% are cached per action: extra hits in the same combo or the same big art share that one step.

A point-blank five-beat string will create the drop on its own. Staying glued to a target yields periodic pressure and bursts of −5%, not the stored +25%. The stored +25% multiplies with horimono Planted Step and similar conditionals, then caps at 1.50. The −5% uses the same math.
