Rubbing

Dashing through or taking hits during art animations numbs foes; standard stance gain -15%

Power

"Numb-Counter": Kamui Flash Step passing through an enemy inflicts the "Numbed" state directly Taking contact damage during locked art animations consumes 15 stance to reduce damage to 85% and numb the attacker (1.5s cooldown) Numbed enemies move slower for 0.75s (regular foes down to 90%, bosses to 98%) and deal 10% reduced contact damage

Burden

Standard stance gain speed reduced by 15%

Origin

Novice swordsmen must endure the ache of numbed wrists. The carver turned the principle around: if I endure one measure of shock, the striking foe shall suffer ten

Shibori is a horimono carving on the blade face. It cannot share the seat with Fudo. The first foe a Kamui Flash Step parries is numbed on the spot. This line spends no stance and has no separate cooldown. The pierce still adds stance by the usual dash rules.

Contact damage during an uncancelable art uses the same window as Fudo: Zanshin, Annihilating Flash, Finale, and the last two combo beats. The attacker must be an enemy body. Projectiles do not count. The trigger spends 15 stance, multiplies that hit by 85%, numbs the attacker, then rests 1.5 seconds. If a False Body decoy takes the hit first, this contact line does not fire. Below 15 stance the hit is neither reduced nor numbed.

Numb lasts 0.75 seconds. Regular foes move at 90%. Bosses move at 98%. Contact damage from a numbed target is then ×90%, including bosses. Worms only drag the head. Segments follow. On the same target, Todo-hi bind and this numb take the stronger movement slow. They do not multiply.

Everyday stance gain is ×0.85, the same as Fudo. A dash numb does not spend extra stance.

A Mayo gift. After Golem, Himura Mayo appears again and hands this rubbing. Picking it up grants ownership.
