The four blocks below are the rubbing text.
Rubbing
Slaying a foe launches a pruning blade at nearby wounded enemies; natural recovery -10%, whiffed Zanshin penalizes vigor
Power
"Petal-Prune": directly slaying a target searches within 15 tiles for another enemy below 50% life Launches a pruning blade to pursue that target, dealing 25% of weapon base damage (no cooldown if no target is found; 0.75s cooldown on trigger)
Burden
Natural vigor recovery speed reduced by 10% Zanshin strike following a dash consumes 2 extra vigor if it whiffs Kills caused by the pruning blade cannot chain into another prune
Origin
Gardeners prune foliage with care: wherever the shears move, withered stems nearby are clipped in the same pass. The one who opened this groove followed that craft
When an Onikiri hit kills a foe, a search starts from the fall, about 15 tiles out. Only other living bodies count. Life above half is skipped. Among the rest, the most wounded is chosen. Ties go to the nearer one.
If one is found, a follow-up cut deals 25% of a blade hit. A successful cut starts about 0.75 seconds of cooldown. Finding nobody starts no cooldown. The next kill can search again.
Kills from combo, Zanshin, Annihilating Flash, Finale, and dash ink brands all search. A Kagami-hi copy, or a follow-up that kills on its own, will not search a second time.
Natural regen is ×0.90, about 5.4 per second. On-hit vigor grants do not change. A missed Zanshin also costs 2 extra vigor.
