The four blocks below are the rubbing text.
Rubbing
Blade hits bind and slow enemies; Flash Step start has a brief startup delay
Power
"Ink-Bound": direct blade hits slow enemy movement for 0.6s, dropping regular enemies to 88% and bosses to 96%
Burden
Kamui Flash Step has an additional 0.1s startup delay; Ink-Bound and Numbed do not stack on the same enemy, only applying the strongest slow
Origin
A peculiar quench left the edge dragging through flesh, hindering whatever it cuts. The smith took pride in it: what is bound is the struck foe, not the hand wielding the steel
A hit from Onikiri itself binds the target’s main body for about 0.6 seconds. Combo, Zanshin, Annihilating Flash, Finale, and ink-brand bursts count. A flash-step parry does not.
Regular foes move at ×0.88. Bosses move at ×0.96. They still slow, just less. Worms only drag the head. Segments follow and are not dragged twice. If a Shibori-style slow is already on that foe, the stronger of the two applies. They do not multiply.
There is no tooltip penalty and no vigor-cap change. Only the target’s movement is held.
Each normal dash adds about 0.1 seconds to the refire lock. Landing is not slower. The next dash just waits that extra beat. Chain dashes, or canceling a combo into a dash, feel a little duller than an empty seat.
