Rubbing
Full stance without releasing executions automatically tolls the bell; costs half stance to replace the execution
Power
"Bell-Toll": remaining at full stance for 3s without releasing Finale Slash causes the blade to toll on its own Releases a shockwave dealing 60% of weapon base damage to all enemies within 30 tiles and immobilizing them for 1.5s, dropping stance to 50
Burden
The toll directly consumes full stance and forfeits the current Finale Slash opportunity
Origin
Temple bells require a striker to ring, yet the ancient bell carved on this steel waits for no external hand. Building full momentum without release causes the bell to toll of itself, sounding alarm across the wild
Bonsho is a horimono carving on the blade face. After stance sits at 100, the blade rings itself for 3 seconds. The toll fires only if Onikiri is still in hand when the count fills. Dropping below full stance clears the charge. A Fudo guard at full stance drops stance to 80 and stops the bell. Spending Annihilating Flash or Finale Slash spends the stance and stops it as well. If the blade is not in hand at the toll, the strike fails and the count is already gone. A tightening rim and a climbing hum underfoot are the timer.
There is no stance-gain tax. After the toll, stance drops to 50. That Finale is closed, and remaining stance sits on the Annihilating Flash threshold.
The front is a ring that pushes out over about 0.7 seconds to a radius of about 30 tiles. The ring band has a half-width of about 3 tiles, and it only settles as it sweeps. Foes farther out are hit later. Damage is 60% of the current weapon hit. Foes the ring catches are bound for 1.5 seconds. Each body is struck once. Knockback pushes outward from the centre.
The rubbing says foes within 30 tiles each take a hit. The hit is the sweep, not an instant fill of the circle.
Blade-karma
Section titled “Blade-karma”While holding Onikiri, a boss-tier foe must be brought down without using Annihilating Flash or Finale Slash for the whole engagement. Fight memory tracks hostiles within about 26 tiles. If that radius stays empty for 4 seconds, the execution record clears and the next fight starts over.
